For more than a decade Mongolia has had an open economic policy to attract foreign investors. It has also implemented many economic and social reforms to further boost (FDI) foreign direct investment. The Foreign Investment Law, last amended in 2001, lays our the rights of investors to invest in virtually any sector and region—with few restrictions and equal to the rights granted to Mongolian investors. Why Mongolia? Mongolia is the crossroads where Europe and Asia meet. Mongolia is politically and economically stable providing a very important and strategic location between two giant economic powers—Russia and China. |
