An Easy Mongolian Recipe

Let's make a buuz a traditional Mongolian favorite dish!

Buuz is a different shaped and steamed variety of hushuur. The ingredients and the forming process are almost the same as for hushuur.

Start by getting your ingredients together:

Meat filling
Minced beef or mutton
Medium onion
Salt
Ground pepper (optional)
Garlic (optional)
Chopped herbs
Spices

1. Prepare the stuffing from meat (beef, chicken, lamb or goat) and flavour with seasonings

2. Prepare the dough

3. Cut the dough into small pieces and roll them

4. Pinch off some meat stuffing and wrap inside the dough

Wrap the meat with the dough


5. Put them in the steam trays and in the boiled water.
6. Steam for 10 to 20 minutes.
